The five days.

Days shift with your office. Your written quote governs.

  1. Day 1 network checked

    We check the room, power and network, and confirm what data you have and where it lives.

  2. Day 2 versions pinned

    We install the server software and Hermes Desktop, then pin those versions so they do not update themselves.

  3. Day 3 files copied in

    We copy your files onto the server and set up backups. Your originals stay put. We delete nothing.

    We compare file counts and sizes, and you open a sample to check.

  4. Day 4 restore tested

    The restore test, with you watching: you pick a real file, we bring it back from the backup, and you open it next to the original. How the test runs.

  5. Day 5 devices paired

    We pair your computer and, if you want, your iPhone (public TestFlight beta), then try your first approved job.

    You check that an unpaired phone cannot get in, and write down which devices are paired.

  6. Acceptance after restore test

    You get a handover record. You sign acceptance only after you have seen the restore test pass. See the record.

Pick a spot for the server before day 1.

Pick a dry, cool, ventilated spot out of the way. Heat is the usual problem: a server in a hot closet can slow down or stop.

A UPS (a battery box) keeps the server on for a few minutes in a power cut so it can shut down cleanly. Ask us which size fits.

The restore test.

CISA says backups are the best hope of recovery from ransomware, and that recovery needs tests you actually run.

The test, in order

  1. We restore a copy of your files onto a spare computer.

  2. You pick a real file, one we did not choose.

  3. We open it from the restored copy.

  4. You compare it with the original.

  5. We write down the time it took.

Do not sign acceptance until you have seen this pass. If it fails, we fix it and run it again. Then repeat it on a schedule you both write down.

The handover record.

The record lists what was installed, who owns each account, and where the backup lives. Before setup ends, ask us to show you the server and each backup.

Accounts are opened in your name. We never ask you to read out or message a password. If we need a sign-in, we set it up together on screen.

What you keep.

You keep the hardware, the files and the memory. Put the server in your name and on your books so you can move it if you leave.

Hermes Desktop is open source under the MIT license, so you may keep using it.

If you leave

  1. You and a second named person set an exit date.

  2. The installer's device is removed from your system.

  3. Access is revoked and keys are changed.

  4. Your system and files are handed over.

  5. You sign a record that lists what you received.

The week installs one desktop app.

If you already run agents

We install only Hermes Desktop from Nous Research. We do not install or support other tools, or claim they work with your setup. Kodros is not affiliated with Nous Research or those projects.

What does the one-week install cost?

What are the appliance and Pro prices?

Appliance: $12,500 with ASUS GX10, or $13,500 with DGX Spark. Pro package: $19,500. Confirm the scope before booking.

What monthly support can I choose?

Care $395/mo, Managed $750/mo, or Priority $1,500/mo. Confirm the support scope in writing.

What do I have at the end of the week?

A handover record of what was installed, who owns each account and where the backup lives. You sign acceptance only after the restore test passes. Your written quote governs.

What if the restore test fails?

We fix it and run it again. Do not sign acceptance until it passes.

Does my data go to an AI company?

Local AI is a planned second step: the model runs on your server. A job may leave your server for only four reasons: the local model cannot do it well enough, is too busy, is down, or a named person says so. You choose which reasons are allowed, and you can allow none.

Is there a Mac version?

No. The iPhone app is a public TestFlight beta at testflight.apple.com/join/BjFNCF45.

I already run agents myself. Is this for me?

Yes, if the business is owner-run with 5 to 50 people and you want the server side done with a tested backup. The week installs only Hermes Desktop, so name your other tools in your note.

Can an agency or builder buy this for a client?

Say so in your note. Accounts are opened in the name of the business that owns the server, and a named person there approves every send, payment, post and access change. Get the terms in writing first.

Can I stop the system?

Yes. Say no to any pending approval and ask your named contact to pause the assistant. If you cannot reach them, unplug the server's network cable. Your files are not harmed.
