How a setup fits together
A setup has three pieces. The server is an always-on computer in your office or home that holds your files. You buy it and keep it. Hermes Desktop is the program you use to give the server work: open-source software from Nous Research, MIT license. We install it, pin a tested version and pair it. The Kodros iPhone app handles quick questions and approvals away from your desk.
The order is fixed: server and backups, then the AI, then one approved job. A backup counts only after we restore from it with you watching. Connectors such as email or calendar come one at a time, read-only at first. See Security. Getting started walks the install week.
Where to go next
Getting started: the install week, restore test, pairing and a first job. Security: pairing, connectors and reporting a problem. Skills: the starter pack.
Legal: privacy policy, terms, refund policy.

Questions
Do I need the iPhone app?
No. Hermes Desktop is the main way in. The iPhone app adds quick questions and approvals on the go. It is a public TestFlight beta: testflight.apple.com/join/BjFNCF45.
Can a job leave my server?
Only if you allow it. You choose which of four reasons, if any, may send a job to an outside AI service. They are listed in the Security section.
What do I keep if I leave?
You keep the hardware, files and memory. They are yours from day one.
